Behind the bridge, approximately where the truck can be seen, there is a monument for the Russian general Suworow, whose troops fought a battle against Napoleon‘s. Contrary to common belief, the monument is not Russian sovereign territory, merely the land it stands on is in possession of the Russian embassy in Berne.
