White Ibis spotted by Zoe: “Ibis stopped traffic, catching a cicada (green grocer) in the middle of the road. From the footpath I paused, hearing the cicada call strangely close - and just strangely - and stood awestruck as the ibis snapped at it, unconcerned by the honking cars, until the cicada was securely in its beak. It flew to the opposite footpath to finish its meal. Only then did I think to photograph the observation” in the Big City Birds App on 12.12.2020
