Mit der Green Growth Forest App kann jeder dazu beitragen, dass Suriname das grünste Land der Erde bleibt.
Suriname ist ein kleines Land in Südamerika, von dem beeindruckende 93 Prozent von dichten Wäldern bedeckt sind. Man könnte sagen, es ist eines der grünsten Länder der Welt. Der Wald trägt als eines von zwei kohlenstoffnegativen Ländern weltweit positiv zum Klimawandel der Welt bei und beherbergt die viertgrößte Menge an Süßwasserressourcen der Welt.

Eine Citizen Science App, um Suriname grün zu halten

Damit Suriname grün bleibt, lädt die Green Growth Suriname Foundation die Bürger Surinams ein, die Wälder und die dortigen Rodungen zu beobachten und so zur Ergänzung der bestehenden nationalen Daten zum Waldschutz beizutragen.
Die von Bürgern in der App gesammelte Daten können Wissenschaftlern helfen herauszufinden, wo am am meisten illegal gerodet wird und so Lösungen dafür zu finden.

Our Outdoors ist ein Citizen Science Projekt, das darauf abzielt, mehr darüber zu erfahren, was du und andere erleben, wenn du dich in öffentlichen Plätzen wie Parks, Stränden, Flüssen und Stadtplätzen befinden. Es wurde von Forschern der Scottish Collaboration of Public Health Research and Practice (SCPHRP) an der Universität von Edinburgh in Zusammenarbeit mit Sustrans, Teilnehmern wie dir entwickelt.

Verbesserung der Umgebung mit Citizen Science
