other spotted by Simon_Pflugshaupt_UZH: “This summer, I visited the ruins of Hohentwiel Castle, just north of the border in Germany. The castle was destroyed as late as the early 1800s, so there are many layers of history to be found here.” in the MTA MountainApp App on 06.11.2023

other spotted by Marina UZH: “This is a picture of two young alpine ibex I took at the Langenberg Wildlife Park, a local park where you can see animals of the Swiss fauna. I like the park as it provides a lot of information about the animals and their habitats, however, I always found it a bit sad that there are some animals in the park, like bears, wolves and lynx cats, that used to live in Switzerland in the past but are not around or barely existing anymore today.” in the MTA MountainApp App on 06.11.2023

lake spotted by Marina UZH: “Regarding our discussion about landscapes I thought more about why I like to take pictures of certain landscapes over and over again. For example I have many pictures of Uetliberg but somehow I always feel like I need to take out my phone camera when I see it. To me this view carries a lot of nostalgia. However, I noticed that when I talk to people about Uetliberg, there are very mixed opinions on wheter it is an interesting place or not. Someone who comes from a proper mountain region of Switzerland even told me that it is funny that it's called Uetli"berg" when it is "not really a mountain".” in the MTA MountainApp App on 27.10.2023

Older buildings are being torn down and replaced with newer ones, which is what happened to my old appartment and is going to happen with my current one within the next 2-3 years.” in the MTA MountainApp App on 06.11.2023

mountainous spotted by Eva_UZH: “It has snowed and now the tops of the mountains are covered in snow. This is an exciting contrast to the autumnal colors of the leaves. Winter is coming soon and I like watching the change in the nature.” in the MTA MountainApp App on 05.11.2023

Urban spotted by Anina_UZH: “Surprisingly the leaves on the trees only recently started to turn yellow or haven’t started yet. I think we can relate this to the topic of climate change. It was warm very long and we had no cold snap early into autumn. Therefore it was the end of October when they started turning yellow in the majority. Also there is no fog on an autumn morning which to me is kinda surprising because I’m used to grey days starting with October. This could also relate to climate change.” in the MTA MountainApp App on 05.11.2023
