In the end I had to secure the pot plants and now artificial plants within them with cable ties. They’ve still had a nibble/trim of my fake ferns but not like what they did with real plants. Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by Rach_09: “The bird was present for at least 1-2 hours whilst we were playing tennis. It was very comfortable around humans and was not at all phases by the noise from the tennis courts. It did not move away until we were very close. It spent the entire time on the ground picking at the grass for food but I did not observe exactly what it was eating. There were other birds flying around above (more cockatoos, myna birds and magpies) but no others on the ground.” in the Big City Birds App on 29.11.2022

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by paulinspace: “Saw the story on birds throwing pot plants. I would leave a tray of water on the balcony wall, which was about a foot wide. The biords would look at me (working at home during the day) and then turn round and drag the tray off the wall to the ground below. I would grumble at them and they would stop, wait and go again. They knew I wasn't happy and it was totally a game for them. Kept me sane talking to the birds during lockdown.” in the Big City Birds App on 25.08.2021
