Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by Zoe: “This tree outside the park and just in front of the local daycare centre attracts both sulphur crested cockies and corella about this time of year. Last year, it looked like a tornado had ripped through, with birds so thick on the footpath and tree above most families crossed the street to get fascinated children into the daycare centre—braving crossing a busy road and back at peak hour rather than braving the brawl of birds. I’ll keep monitoring, today was the first day this year I saw them en mass. One bird roosted on the tallest pole in the park, about ten metres from the tree, and was calling out for a long time, I don’t know if it was a warning or an invite.” in the Big City Birds App on 20.12.2020
