Nest spotted by Chris-M: “I haven’t seen this Ivanhoe Park mound in use this year. It looks like there are fallen branches on top of it. Maybe this was 094 Gilroy’s before he apparently hitched a ride somehow to Pittwater. He sure didn’t fly that far. It’s more secluded from the main path than one of the other Ivanhoe Park nests in use. If not Gilroy’s former mound, maybe one of the other male turkeys built it and found himself harassed by dog traffic along this particular nearby path, abandoned it and relocated next year.” in the Big City Birds App on 30.12.2021

Other bird spotted by Madi Le M: “At least fifteen galahs on the power lines, most paired up and sitting together with a few 'odd' ones out. One swung around on the power line. One couple appeared to be engaged in a behaviour where one would duck its head, and then the other would copy. Arrived around 7:30pm and have been calling.” in the Big City Birds App on 29.12.2021

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by MarisaV: “This small group pass through each day around the same time. They are getting used to my place having people home - they have been sitting and eyeballing me from the branches for a few weeks now, and getting more cocky now - swooping, squawking, checking of the dog is around.” in the Big City Birds App on 28.12.2021
