Brush-turkey spotted by Chris-M: “Curiosity killed the cat but not the brush turkey. This turkey was foraging in the area where Shelley Sand often likes to be by herself and I think it is the one that sometimes follows Shelley around, annoys her and Shelley tries to chase her away. This particular turkey has now come back to Shelly Beach and is walking along the rock ledge at eye level and looking to scavenge. To get so close to take a photo indicates this turkey is fairly tame, but a lot of them are fairly tame here at Shelly Beach as I also saw one calmly walking out of the Boathouse Restaurant with aplomb like a bill paying patron twice in the last few days.” in the Big City Birds App on 21.04.2022

Other bird spotted by Owens: “I heard a new bird in the area and found it on the wires. I took video to capture the call and flight. I saw it closely with binoculars - orange tail and white spots on head neck area. Loud repeated call and flew off along the coast heading south over Waverley Cemetery after harassment from local Noisy Miners and magpies.” in the Big City Birds App on 20.04.2022
