Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by Megan Smith: “I was unpacking a pallet with our skip open to throw rubbish out. I heard a squawk and when I looked up a cocky flipped his crest up and stuck his wings out and hopped away along the wall behind the bin lid. I kept working and heard another squawk. The cocky was back in the same spot and did exactly the same thing again! This went on for about 10 minutes until another cocky came along and distracted the first one. He was playing with me because at one stage I kept watching and when he started hopping along the wall from behind the lid and noticed I was still looking he quickly hid behind the lid again 🤣” in the Big City Birds App on 23.07.2021

Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by amagnifico: “One cockatoo spent about 10 minutes trying to peel off the stickers from the top of my wheelie bins. The stickers are brittle and cracked, so they came off in bits and pieces. After this it spotted the rain sensor for my irrigation system and went over to start gnawing on it. At this point I went outside to shoo it away.” in the Big City Birds App on 14.07.2021

Little Corella spotted by Denise Walsh: “A flock of Little Corellas new to the area are going crazy over the pine cones. They are all very dirty which I’m guessing is from the sticky sap in the cones?” in the Big City Birds App on 23.07.2021
