Sulphur-crested Cockatoo spotted by Tony Peri: “Chestnut teal duck flew into a nest hole from a small pond of water from the rain. The sulphur crested cockatoo immediately flew around from another nest hole opposite and attacked the duck. Feathers flew everywhere. The duck is still deep in the nest hole. The cockatoo chased another 3 chestnut teal ducks out of another tall tree. The cockatoo is too big to enter the nest hole. It has been at this hollow and another 180 degrees opposite for 2 weeks. Previously wood ducks and rainbow lorrikeets have used the hollow. The other pair of these cockatoos has shown no interest in the proceedings, just sitting at the top of the tree.” in the Big City Birds App on 26.10.2022
