Other bird spotted by bootk: “Local wild lorikeets (on wire just beneath gutter) regularly come to check in and interact with pet lorikeets (in the cages.) The pet birds are often let out to move around in the garden in the day, with the cages left open. The wild birds will come down to check out the food in the cages.” in the Big City Birds App on 04.09.2023

Other bird spotted by ElsjeOs: “Sitting above my head in Chinese elm at lane side of the property. The magpie was mimicking the calls of other birds which attracted my attention. As soon as I spotted it, it started warbling. In its beak was what looked like nesting material, which it took to the nest in a tall tree on the other side of the house on the property. Subsequently I have not observed nest activity, as the tree is difficult to watch.” in the Big City Birds App on 24.07.2023

Brush-turkey spotted by ElsjeOs: “Video available of this sighting, but also of others over the last 4-5 years - all at this location: 3 Karana Place, Chatswood West, NSW. Although we don’t observe them every day, at least one individual passes through the property each day. In the last few months we have observed up to 4 different birds on the same day, although this is uncommon. Of interest to us, is that two of them seem to be the same age (fledglings/juveniles when we first spotted them early this year) and that they still went about together months later. Apologies for the poor photograph. I’m afraid photography is not a strength.” in the Big City Birds App on 04.10.2023
